Los Angeles County Bomberos

Part of the association's local community outreach is in the form of scholarships to young men and women who have demonstrated an interest in a career in Emergency Services, as a firefighter or EMT.  The association has partnered with the LA County Fire Department Explorer program as one venue for the selection of deserving individuals who have demonstrated such a career choice. 

Association members may recommend deserving young men and women for scholarship consideration by submitting a descriptive memo to any of the Executive Board.  The candidate should demonstrate good character, excellent school citizenship and community involvement.  Awarding of scholarships will be dependent on available funds each year.

The scholarship takes the form of a reimbursement of expenses, up to $500.00, from any approved fire academy upon successful completion of the academy.
